This 1-acre site, previously containing several light industrial units, has been redeveloped to provide a modern, 70-bedroom care home. Byrehill had identified an undersupply of quality care bedrooms in the area and recognised the site’s potential. Following a direct approach to the land owner, an Option Agreement was signed allowing Byrehill, in partnership with 376 Estates and Care Concern to develop the site.
Through collaborative working and proactive engagement with the local authority, we were able to secure a planning consent under delegated powers within 6 months and complete the purchase of the site within 12 months.
The success of the site was recognised at the OxProp Festival where it was awarded winner in the ‘Best Use of Land’ category.
